I’m trying to cast my mind back, which for me is hard these days. I swear with each child, you lose more of your memory cells!! I’m trying to go back to the point where this new path began for me. I think parenting was probably the start, when both of my kids were under the age of 5. Whilst it’s a wonderful time in life, it’s also a time when you completely lose yourself. You lose who you are and what your purpose is, because in that moment, the only thing that is important is your children and they are your every focus.
As you’ve probably already read in one of my welcome emails, I hit rock bottom at this point and was desperate for a way to cope, which was when I discovered the Law of Attraction and immersed myself in finding out as much as I could about it. I started taking courses, reading books and eventually working with coaches. I spent 3 years absorbing as much as I could and wow, it absolutely changed my life. It changed the way I looked at life. It changed the way I reacted to life. It literally changed everything. Now, learning wasn’t cheap, and I have literally spent thousands of pounds going down the rabbit hole of spirituality. Some has been worth it a hundred times over, some was a complete waste. It can be quite overwhelming to begin with as there’s sooooo many things to learn and not all of them will feel aligned to you.
When I was working with the LOA Twins, I had been taking some notes for the course we had been doing and agreed to do a little bit of work for them. It was whilst we were working together that Tesha gave me the idea for the journal. It INSTANTLY got me excited and fired up. I should point out that whilst I like to take notes, make them pretty, add little doodles and splashes of colour, I’m no writer. In fact, I had to get extra help at school because English was probably my worst subject, so to get excited about something that was a million miles away from my strength seemed soooooo bizarre, but it made complete sense.
At the start of any spiritual journey, it can be so confusing finding what is right for you and where is best to start. Why was it so hard to put all the pieces together? Why did you have to go from one course to another, just to understand the next bit? How amazing would it be to put everything I had learned into one place? A place for people to learn a small, easy-to-follow glimpse of various practices to then decide for themselves what they like and where they want to explore more.
At the beginning of 2021, that’s exactly what I did. It took me the full year to complete. I would put it down and come back to it when it felt right. At one point I didn’t look at it for months, all the while curious if I would ever finish it and if I did, would I take it to the next step. And here we are, on LAUNCH DAY!!!!!
I hope more than anything that my journal helps you even if it is in the smallest of ways.
All my love
